The Polish contingent currently serving in Afghanistan is to receive four unmanned aircraft over the coming weeks.In February, Israel’s Aeronautics won a tender from the Polish Ministry of Defence for the aircraft, of which there are to be eight: four delivered in the coming weeks, with the remainder arriving in Poland in 2011.“These are the first such units that will be our own,” deputy defence minister Marcin Idzik told Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, adding that “up until now [Polish forces] used unmanned aircraft on loan from the Americans.”
