Pakistan Navy will host the exercise ‘Aman 2009’ from March 5 to 14 an official of the ISPR (Navy) announced here on Wednesday.As many as 38 countries have confirmed their participation in this exercise. There will be ships from various countries as well as maritime aircraft and special forces from some countries besides the observers.Giving the details of the event he said that the exercise Aman 2009 would consist of three parts. The first one would be the harbour part of the exercise that also include the cultural events, the second would be the sea phase in which the participating units will go to the Arabian Sea to carry out various exercises.The third phase would consist of the debriefing and analysis.
The countries that will be actively participating in the Exercise Aman 2009 will be the United States, Britain, China, France, Japan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Malaysia, Kuwait and Nigeria.The countries that will participate as observers will be: Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Egypt, Gambia, Germany, Indonesia, Jordan, Libya, Maldives, New Zealand, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sudan, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, Azarbaijan, China, France, USA, Kazakistan, Kenya, Malaysia.
