Northrop Grumman today confirmed that it is negotiating the possible sale of three of its high-altitude, long-endurance Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles to Japan. The company did not disclose the possible sale price of the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), where are developed in San Diego County."Currently, JMoD has not selected Global Hawk or finalized its operational requirements. Using the U.S. Air Force operations as an example, three to four Global Hawk aircraft provide a longer term operating capability, including the ability to provide long periods of continuous, round-the-clock ISR coverage."
