A pilot was killed in a warplane crash in western Turkey late Tuesday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported on Wednesday. The F-16 warplane that took off from its base in the western Turkish province of Balikesir crashed at Kemalpasa district in the neighboring province of Bursa, said the report. The wreckage of the plane was found and investigations into the crash are underway, it added.
