Five New F/A-18F Super Hornets Arrive at Amberley RAAF Base

The Air Force's $6 billion program to replace its F-111 fleet with high-tech Super Hornets took another step forward today, with five of the next-generation fighter jets arriving at the Amberley RAAF base.They took four days to arrive from the Naval Air Station Lemoore in California. A sixth jet, flying separately, is due to arrive later this afternoon.These Super Hornets join five others that touched down nearly four months ago.
