A Bangladeshi army helicopter hit power lines and crashed north of the capital Monday, killing two commanders and injuring an officer, officials said. Maj. Gen. Rafiqul Islam and the chopper's pilot Lt. Col. Shahidul Islam died when the chopper slammed into a rice paddy field in Tangail district, 72 kilometers (45 miles) north of Dhaka, the area's police chief Abdul Mannan said.Mannan said a third passenger, Maj. Saeed, was injured and flown in another helicopter to Dhaka's military hospital. Mannan was not sure if the names he provided were complete.
