Stratech signs RoKAF TOSS deal

Singapore-based Stratech Systems have announced the signing of a sub-contract to design, co-develop and implement a TV Ordnance Scoring System (TOSS) for the Republic of Korea Air Force (RoKAF) in a US$4.05 million deal.

Under the deal, Stratech will power the TOSS project with their state-of-the-art Super BullsEye (r) II Advanced Weapons Scoring System, which will be integrated with an Electronic Warfare Training System (EWTS) for the RoKAF. The EWTS provides unparalleled training for pilots by simulating hostile threat environments, including missile interceptors, ground-to-air guided rockets, anti-aircraft guns and others.

The TOSS project will provide the RoKAF with the benefit of an air-to-ground weapons scoring system for bombs and rockets via Stratechs proprietary Intelligent Vision technologies. The system utilises electro-optic sensors to score weapons impact accurately in both high and low light. The major advantages of the system include the ability to score in a range of conditions, both over land and on water, as well as its scoring accuracy, fast impact point measurement, and comprehensive scoring analysis.

David K. M. Chew, Executive Chairman of Statech, said, By monitoring and recording the flight path of the aircraft before, during and after the attack and with the following parameters - approach heading, dive angle, firing range and aircraft speed - displayed by the system, the next generation Super BullsEye(r) will also be capable of providing analysis of the firing profile.
