IAI Launches New Man Portable Surveillance System

Israel Aerospace Industries' (IAI) ELTA Systems Ltd., a group and wholly owned subsidiary of IAI, is launching its new Man Portable Surveillance System (MAPSS). Also called the EL/I-3370, the compact, lightweight system provides Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) to tactical combat forces and law enforcement units.The MAPSS combines a ground movement detection radar with a day/night electro-optics (EO) sensor, locally or remotely operated by a single person. The radar detects movement within a range of several hundred meters, while the EO sensor identifies and locates the source of the movement.
